#126, Community

community n. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common

Over the past eleven months we have developed a community at PEAI. We learned and we struggled. We laughed. We met challenges and overcame them. Through it all, those tiny interactions added up to something greater. A community does not form by itself—it needs care and concentrated effort from its members to thrive. One of the most important ingredients of a healthy community is strong interpersonal relationships between its members. These relationships impact our day-to-day emotional well being, but more importantly, they influence the personal transformations of the member within.

Though part of the greater PEAI community, each of the four classes I teach has a personality all its own. The ten or so individuals in each three hour block contribute to create an environment that is uniquely theirs. Those of you who done make-up classes have an intimate understanding of this. What exactly differentiates the four classes though?
