Hi. I’m Brenden.

I’m a sixth grade teacher at a language institute in Daechi called PEAI. I have been teaching at PEAI since 2011. In 2015, I graduated from the University of Southern California and received a Master of Arts in Teaching with focus in TESOL. I believe that education is a transformative agent. I subscribe to the teachings of Pablo Freire, philosopher and educator, who notes,

“Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity or it becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.”
