    • Journal responses should be 100+ words and 100% original.

VOCABULARY (20+ min.)

  • Complete 12A–12D in Wordly Wise 3000 Book 6.

  • Study for the quiz.

PROJECT FAIR (30+ min.)

  • Work on your team’s propaganda poster artwork at home if necessary. There will be 30 minutes set aside in class to complete the poster. Bring in art supplies or other materials to complete the poster.

    • There is a stationery store right next to PEAI called 대동문구상사 with poster paper, colored paper, etc.

  • Read the article, “Survey Research | Definition, Examples & Methods” https://www.scribbr.com/methodology/survey-research

  • Address the following in full sentences in your writing notebook:

  1. What is a survey?

  2. What is the purpose a survey?

  3. What is a target population? What is a sample?

  4. How should survey questions be phrased? How should they be ordered?

  5. Write 3–5 close-ended survey questions for your peers related to your district. e.g., District 8 (textiles): Does the cost of clothes influence your purchasing decisions?

NOVEL (30+ min.)

  • Read chapters 13–15 in The Hunger Games.

  • Address the following in full sentences in your reading notebook:

  1. How does Rue help Katniss?

  2. What is a tracker jacker?

  3. What injury does Katniss sustain in Chapter 13?

  4. What is the sponsors’ first gift to Katniss?

  5. How does Katniss escape from the Careers?

  • Read Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed (pp. 127–140) in myPerspectives.

  • Address the Close Read tasks on p. 127, 132, 139 in the textbook or in your reading notebook.

  • Answer Comprehension Check questions 1–5 (p. 141) in full sentences in your reading notebook.

DEBATE (20+ min.) 🚨 UPDATED 🚨

  • Complete the debate worksheet that was handed out in class (A1. Charging juveniles as adults reduces crime and serves justice). If you do not have the worksheet, contact me via email for the PDF.
