PEAI will celebrate Halloween in the second class of the week 🎉 There will be Halloween activities and trick-or-treating. All students are encouraged to wear a costume for the occasion!

  • Write a draft of your response for the PEAI Yearbook on the essay sheet that was handed out in class. A PDF of the essay sheet may be downloaded HERE.

    • The response must be between 250–550 words in length.

  • Choose your quote for the PEAI Yearbook! Submit the quote and its source on Google Forms. https://forms.gle/gyeDrJ6wTpGD1HhS7

    • Quotes are limited to 100 characters total. Letters and spaces count as one character. https://wordcounter.net/character-count

    • The quote should be appropriate for a school yearbook. There should not be any profanity or slang. Use standard English.

    • e.g., “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” –Dr. Seuss (this quote is 78 characters)

  • Purchase Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. We will begin reading the novel next week.

    • My Memory. Describe a memory from this year at PEAI and what made it meaningful to you.

    • Dear PEAI. Write a letter to PEAI as if it were a person. Start the letter, “Dear PEAI,”

    • Letter to Younger Self. Write a letter to your younger self for the first day of grade six.

    • Life Lesson. Describe a life lesson you learned from this year at PEAI.

    • Overcoming Adversity. Describe one of your struggles this year and how you dealt with it.

    • My Year at PEAI. Reflect on your time here at PEAI. What has this time meant for you?

    • Creative Writing. Consider a lesson, theme, story, etc. from this year at PEAI and create a piece of creative writing.
