#50, Vacation

For most, the school year will soon pause ushering in sweet summer vacation. For a few lucky individuals this means time away from home for camp, a trip to Jeju, or maybe even some time abroad.

School and work create predictable routines that we become so accustomed to they become almost automatic. Wake, breakfast, shower, dress, school, dinner, academy, homework, sleep. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Disrupting this cycle refreshes the mind and spirit as we experience something new and have a chance to be challenged and grow. It’s why trips imprint themselves in our memories, much more than some idle Tuesday.
