One's self is extended across multiple planes
clique: a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them
From the moment we enter the world, we are spread across multiple cliques and groups. Each one of the 1,196 babies born in Korea today will join a family and its extended reach, they'll join a gender, and become a South Korean citizen. This is just a small sample of their new membership.
Each you posting here is part of the PEAI clique, and more specifically, a class within it. Our clique is defined by our beliefs, practices, artifacts, and traditions. A common belief is that learning should be engaging. A common practice is doing the democracy wave. The Totoro doll is a classroom staple and each month there is the tradition of crowning the winner of the inter-class competition. Simultaneously, we are all members of other cliques, some in the physical word, others in the digital world.
