#103, Morph
morph: undergo or cause to undergo a gradual process of transformation
Think of all the movies you've watched the past year (a list of all the movies from 2013 can be found here, http://www.wildaboutmovies.com/2013_movies/Movies_In_Theaters_2013.html). The title of a movie is delicate, and by morphing it just slightly, the story can be transformed. Man of Steel morphs into ManGO of Steel. Iron Man morphs into IronY Man. Fast & Furious morphs into FAT & Furious. Die Hard morphs into DieT Hard,
DieT Hard chronicles the life of New York City police officer John McDolaine. On Christmas Eve, he returns home to a find his house turned upside down and his wife and daughter missing. Amidst the chaos, lies a sole white envelope with an odious message inside, "Live fat or diet hard." On the back, was a list of absurdly healthy foods: cod liver oil, coconut juice, flaxseeds, blood pudding, black beans, wheatgrass, soy milk, and... beef brains.
John McDolain swore to never eat healthy food after his friend was assaulted by a coconut tree (six coconuts fell on his head causing instant death). Now, in order to free his family he would have diet hard for one hundred days straight.
For this week's journal entry, add OR subtract two letters from the title of a movie. Write a description of the newly morphed movie.
